The Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008 requires that group health plans and health inurance issuers offer behavioral health benefits substantially as they do medical.surgical benefits, especially with regard to financial requirements (co-pays, deductibles, etc.) and treatment limitations (visit limts, etc.).
